I enjoy painting portraits. It’s a practice that allows me to paint on autopilot and de-stress. It also serves to keep my art muscle working, which any artist will tell you: Practice is of utmost importance. I’m guilty of not drawing for myself for months at a time, so I am trying to paint whatever I just feel like each week (not everything is a masterpiece, so of course I won’t post all of my scribblings!). I’ve been meaning to give drawing threads on reddit a try, and have been saving all sorts of photos for reference to draw when I have time.
I found the original photograph on r/redditgetsdrawn but so much time had gone by that I couldn’t find the original poster to send this finished portrait to.
